"Of all the forms of Devi, She is the most compassionate because She provides moksha or liberation to Her children. She is the counterpart of Shiva the destroyer. They are the destroyers of unreality. The ego sees Mother Kali and trembles with fear because the ego sees in Her its own eventual demise. A person who is attached to his or her ego will not be receptive to Mother Kali and she will appear in a fearsome form. A mature soul who engages in spiritual practice to remove the illusion of the ego sees Mother Kali as very sweet, affectionate, and overflowing with incomprehensible love for Her children." | All my life I have had a Kali nature. I have lost many a friend due my pointing out the proverbial "Elephant" in the middle of the room. Her presence showed up when I left my nice girl image to express what I could not hold inside anymore. She speaks likes knives and rapid fire gunshots at anyone she feels need this kind of awakening. Needless to say not always well received by the recipients. i have learned to not take or give it personally and have no attachment to these directed "lessons" on the ego. there lies the Elephant to be uncovered. and all is well. |
